The annual Art of Science competition at the University of California Santa Barbara that tells the stories of technical innovation, pure discovery, and inspired creativity that emerge when art and science unfold together.

The University of California Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Bridge to the Doctorate (BD) program at UC Santa Barbara provides mentorship, professional development, and financial support to PhD fellows as they become the next generation of scientific leaders.

CSEP collaborates, organizes and participates in science festivals for all ages. NanoDays is currently our largest event for the smallest science!

CSEP together with multiple groups, departments, faculty and staff at UCSB offers an intensive Professional Development Series that focuses on the knowledge and practical experience essential for the success of graduate students and postdoctoral scholars and their future varied careers in science, engineering and mathematics.

The School for Scientific Thought (SST) is a Saturday morning program for high school students in grades 9, 10, 11 and 12.

 SIMS is a two-week intensive residential program for newly admitted UCSB freshmen. Graduate students and Post-docs are encouraged to participate as either research mentors or Mathematics and Physics short-course instructors.

The Summer Institute in Mathematics and Science (SIMS) is a 3-week academic preparation and research training program for newly admitted UCSB freshman. SIMS will be offered on-line this year.
