Owen Chen

My name is Owen Chen. I go to Dos Pueblos High School. During 2010 AR program, I worked closely with my mentor on the study of the albumin deactivation of surfactants inside the human lung. The ultimate goal of the project is to find a therapeutic for treating Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Besides conducting experiments with sophisticated instruments and sharing the results and discoveries with colleagues, I was also able to design my own experiments based on the hypothesis I made which is both a fulfillment of personal curiosity and an fun experience. I am planning on studying physics at Princeton University and eventually became a researcher of physics at either a private company or an academy.
