This workshop is open to anyone (faculty, researchers, postdocs and graduate students) who will be mentoring an undergraduate research student this summer.

This workshop is designed to be a collective mid-summer check in about your summer research experiences. We’ll have a particular focus on working on ways to promote inclusion in your research culture for students who are from backgrounds underrepresented at the graduate level at research institutions. We’ll discuss successes and challenges that you have experienced and work in discussion groups to develop plans to help ensure success for the rest of our summer experiences.

Participants are invited to submit questions ahead of time to cnsi-csep@ucsb.edu as well as to let Dr. Charity Hudley know what resources you’d like available before and after the workshop.
