How do you determine the right scope and level of research for your summer intern? What should you consider? This interactive workshop will tackle those questions and also present ideas for how to nurture your intern’s independent thinking, how to deal with set-backs and how to check student progress.

To facilitate discussion, please email your proposed intern research project description (½ page) to CSEP (cnsi-csep@ucsb.edu) by Monday, June 3rd

Prof. Weld will select from the submitted projects to provide examples on how to improve project design. Mentors will also break out into small groups to discuss how they can implement the ideas presented to improve their proposed intern projects.
