CSEP Science Center

The CSC has been a valuable outreach asset at UCSB for over 25 years. The CSC contains a host of hands-on science equipment, allowing students to learn about a variety of topics in an interactive way. For example, there is equipment for student use that demonstrates conservation of momentum, flow of fluids, or principles of electricity.

CSC Collage

The CSC is available by appointment for classes to visit as a field trip. When a class arrives, they are taken on a short tour of the CSC and shown some of the most interesting demonstrations or apparatus. They are then turned loose to explore the equipment. Unlike Physics Circus shows or the planned mini-courses, students are able to work with whatever topics or demos interest them, rather than being confined to the planned subjects.
